Staff Software Engineer - Connectivity

Dremio is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to own connectivity solutions, client drivers, protocols, and connectors across its unified lakehouse platform.

Requirements

• 8+ years of production software engineering experience
• Deep proficiency in Java, C++, Rust, Go, or another systems/services language
• Experience designing and debugging APIs, protocols, client libraries, drivers, or distributed services
• Strong knowledge of data structures, concurrency, asynchronous programming, networking, and failure handling
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple medium-to-large features or service components from problem definition through delivery
• Define reviewable milestones, acceptance measures, dependencies, estimates, and risks
• Produce technical designs and architecture diagrams across drivers, protocols, client libraries, and connectors
• Diagnose complex failures across client/server and distributed-system boundaries
• Mentor and coach engineers and improve team engineering practices
