Freelance Mechanical CFD Engineer - AI Trainer

About

Mindrift is seeking a Freelance Mechanical CFD Engineer to set up simulations, build reference solutions, and write Python verification scripts to train and evaluate AI agents.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
• Several years of hands-on industry or research CFD experience with OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent/CFX, or STAR-CCM+
• Solid verification and validation practice (mesh independence, experimental validation)
• Proficiency with Python and GitHub
• English proficiency at B2 level or above

Responsibilities

• Take CAD geometry, set up, and run fluid simulations
• Build verified reference solutions for complex CFD cases
• Write Python verification checks for AI agent simulation outputs
