The Credit Officer is responsible for assessing loan applications, evaluating customer's ability to repay loans, monitoring loan repayments, and ensuring compliance with the organisation's credit policies.
Requirements
- Minimum qualification is SSCE
- 0-2 years experience
- Good communication and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and integrity
- Basic computer skills
- Previous experience in credit or lending is an advantage
Responsibilities
- Receive and review loan applications
- Assess customers' creditworthiness and repayment capacity
- Verify customer information and loan documents
- Recommend loans for approval in line with company policies
- Monitor loan repayments and follow up on overdue loans
- Maintain accurate customer and loan records
- Support loan recovery activities
- Prepare reports on loan performance
- Maintain good relationships with customers
