Senior SOC Analyst

About

Zoracom is seeking an experienced Senior Security Operations Centre (SOC) Analyst to lead security monitoring, threat detection, incident investigation, and response activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years' relevant cybersecurity experience, including hands-on SOC operations
• Strong experience with SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, or IBM QRadar
• Good knowledge of network security, endpoint protection, incident response, and threat intelligence
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, or ISO 27001 is an advantage
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and reporting skills
• CompTIA CySA+, Security+, GIAC, Certified SOC Analyst, or equivalent certifications are an advantage

Responsibilities

• Monitor and investigate security alerts, logs, and potential cyber threats
• Lead security incident analysis, response, escalation, and root-cause investigations
• Use SIEM and EDR/XDR tools to detect, analyse, and respond to threats
• Conduct threat hunting and improve detection rules and monitoring processes
• Prepare incident reports and recommend security improvements
• Collaborate with technical teams to strengthen security controls and mentor junior analysts
