Remote Director of IT and Workplace

About

We are hiring a Director of IT & Workplace to own the employee technology platform and the physical environment the company runs on.

Requirements

• 8+ years in IT, spanning hands-on administration or engineering and progressively senior ownership
• 3+ years managing IT or workplace teams
• Proven ownership of an IT function through rapid growth
• Deep technical expertise across identity (Okta), Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, MDM, and corporate networking
• Experience as a named control owner in a regulated environment (HIPAA, SOC 2, or HITRUST)
• Budget ownership and vendor negotiation experience
• Workplace or facilities exposure

Responsibilities

• Own the employee technology platform and IT security posture
• Own the physical environment, space planning, and physical security
• Lead, coach, and grow the existing team
• Define and publish service levels
• Serve as the accountable owner for IT controls in HIPAA, SOC 2, and customer security review programs
• Manage facilities, AV, security, and food vendors
