About

The Head of Technology will lead engineering at Sanctuary Computer and garden3d, setting engineering standards, driving agentic development, and managing technical strategy across a worker-owned creative collective.

Requirements

• 12+ years building software
• 3+ years leading engineers in a studio, agency, startup or founder-led company
• Deep experience engineering complex systems in production
• Fluency in React, Next.js, Ruby on Rails, Elixir & Phoenix, Sanity, Postgres, Redis
• Experience as technical lead in scoping, estimating and pitching to clients
• Hands-on coding ability

Responsibilities

• Own the technical blueprint on important projects
• Make agentic development the default way of working
• Set code review standards and maintain quality
• Hire and empower exceptional engineers
• Join new business calls as a technical consultant
• Manage technical strategy across the garden3d collective
