Claims is hiring a remote full-stack Software Engineer with strong Python experience to help build and maintain data pipelines, AI integrations, HTTP APIs, and web dashboards that transform scientific literature into structured data.

Requirements

• 1–5 years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong Python skills, including building backend services and writing automated tests
• Experience designing, consuming, and troubleshooting HTTP APIs
• Working knowledge of TypeScript/JavaScript and React
• Practical SQL and relational database experience
• Confidence working in Linux command line environments
• Experience with Git, PRs, code review, and CI/CD

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Python backend services, APIs, CLI tools, and background workflows
• Develop web dashboards and internal review tools using TypeScript and React
• Maintain pipelines for paper ingestion, document processing, and structured evaluation
• Integrate external APIs and AI model providers with retries, validation, and cost tracking
• Work with relational databases and object storage schemas, migrations, and queries
