About
A two-year funded Master of Science (MSc) position in the Remote Sensing & AI Lab at the University of Victoria, focusing on wildfire severity and forest structure research.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in geography, environmental science, forestry, geomatics, earth science, or a related field by Fall 2027
- Strong interest in remote sensing, GIS, forest ecology, wildfire science, or environmental science
- Interest in graduate-level research involving geospatial data and environmental analysis
Responsibilities
- Contribute to a research project mapping and quantifying wildfire severity using satellite time series and LiDAR-based forest structure data
- Combine Landsat time series with airborne and spaceborne LiDAR observations

- Open to international and domestic students
